30.

It finally came out!

I've been waiting to read the next book in the Sookie Stackhouse series...aka the Tru Blood books, and the 12th book just came out. I bought it on my iPad, which I'm not a big electronic reader. I'm more of the library book girl. (I love the smell of old books). But anyway.......I read it in like 2 days and I actually liked reading it on the iPad.

Now, I just have to wait for the next season of the HBO Tru Blood to come out. I think the date is May 29!

I'm in the midst of dog sitting...somewhat of a vacay for me. :) So there should be more books to come...I actually started Sisterhood Everlasting yesterday and finished it today. It was sad, but also pretty good. It was a nice ending to the whole Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series.

(I think I have a bit of a thing for book series, yeah?)

Off to find more books to read...my Goodreads list is super long, maybe I'll pick one of those to finish my #30 on my list of 101 in 1001 days

26.

I have officially watched Mad Men through Season 4. I'm gonna wait for Season 5 to come on Netflix before I get into it.

I liked it. Don Draper is def a character. And I loved seeing all the outfits!

And the female cast is just amazing and so diverse.

Most of the actors and actresses are fresh, and I haven't seen them in a bunch of other stuff. But, there are the token few that I recognized the name or the face from other shows. For example, one actress is also in Sons of Anarchy, which is a show that I LOVE.

Personally, I liked her better in Sons, but that might just be due to Jackson and their romance ;)
.....or just Jax hahaha

If you like fashion history and the US in the 60s-70s, you should watch Mad Men. It might take a couple episodes to get into it, but once you're in, you're kinda hooked.

One thing on the 101 in 1001 days done!

Hip Huggin Dress

Shoes: Nine, Dress: Etsy Shop, Belt: Express

I was out thrifting the other week and just last minute grabbed this dress and added it to my pile. I tried on tons and tons of things and was tired so I considered just putting this dress back. But, I just couldn't...I hate the feeling of missing out on something. So I threw it on over my clothes and it fit perfectly. I loved it! So, of course, I bought it! I thought about not putting it in the shop, but the more I sell, the more I get to find!

moo.

One of the blogs that I read, DIY Style, did a post recently about some stationary she had made. I went to the site, which is Moo, and fell in love a little bit.

I wanted to get some stuff for the shop, to make it a little more business-y. I decided to make some stickers with my logo...to seal tissue paper wrapping of packages and be the "stamp" on the thank you card.

They will be tiny, but hopefully still readable. :/

Go check out the site! And if you feel inclined or fall in love a little bit, like me, here is a link to get 10% off your order.

SUMMER

SUMMER HAS OFFICIALLY BEGUN!!

Yay, time for beaches and shopping and vintage galore!

Was going through some old photos and found some highlights of beaches, boats, and bikinis of the past...made me excited for this summer.

Although, I have no BIG plans for this summer...it's nice to just not have class for three months before it all starts up again non-stop for 16 months.

At least, I'll have memories of warm summers to get me through grad school!

One last one...at the beach house with family last year. LOVE THEM!

Dior Accent Pillow

So the 'new project' I've been playing around with is officially down.

For all my instagram people you got this shot a little bit ago...

and this is what it ended up looking like...I used a vintage Dior men's shirt and hand-stitched sequins into a bow tie pattern...switched out the buttons...and voila...

I absolutely love it and debated about keeping it...BUT, I decided to put it in the shop. If it sells, then that means I get to make more ;)

If you're interested...ETSY

Btw, thanks madre for your amazing sewing skills! Saved me time fighting with the bobbin.
